Research on Corrosion Inhibition of Steel in Molten Lead-Bismuth Eutectic Alloy

Abstract

In order to reduce the corrosion rate of materials in molten lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) alloys, it is important to control oxygen concentration in the solution. We have developed corrosion prediction model for 9Cr-1Mo steel that takes into account diffusion in the oxide film and in LBE.
